Caesar Guerini's attempt at making the most durable target shotgun possible gave birth to the Invictus system, and the most significant advancement in over-under durability in years. The Invictus V Sporting now includes the DPS trigger system; an ultra crisp trigger improving in weight, speed, and take up. All of the technology in the Invictus V Sporting is complimented by the graceful side plate action with full-coverage engraving. This embellishment employs no fewer than four different engraving techniques, including many hours of hand engraving. The result is a stunning example of contemporary Italian Ornato style engraving with deep relief game scenes. The Invictus V is quite simply the perfect synthesis of technology and art.
Caesar Guerini’s Invictus action is the first double gun to ever overcome the issue of "off face", or the barrel and action wearing an unsafe gap between the two over its lifetime. Due to the modularity of the Invictus system the life span has been increased between 200% and 300% over the typical double gun.
